What a cultured SUNDAY!
SM told us about this SSO concert a week ago, thought i didn't have much to do on sunday except to wallow in a big stack of sub-standard essays, and so we met @ VCH for this concert.

Well, 4 ex-nj horn players, going for some concert together after so many years. haha... and our memories for VCH just seemed to have stopped at the time when we had our own etude then. oh well... that's like quite some years back already anyway.
The concert was on some Slavic pieces. Though i left still without any idea what characteristics has Janacek and dvorak pieces, i left with deep impressions with the nice round sounds of the 3 trombones in the first piece. I was like WAH... and immersing myself in the resonance...
The second piece was a bit boring. The China Trio make the piece sound so erm... Chinese Orchestra. Well, they were very skilful players to add, very expressive, not just musically but physically as well.
The third piece was short. supposedly the highlight of the concert but seemed like the limelight was the first piece instead. Anw the sextet was good. The horn player whom reminds us of the nj lit teacher and his green cloth just brings me back to those days when all horn players always have their own coloured cloths for the "water". well. feels like PEANUTS Linus Blanket which follows us everywhere. Ahh..
Oh yeah.
went Fish & co for dinner after that and were talking about kids nowadays.
i just loved YH's brand of humour. really laughed madly when he was telling us about this kid who kept wanting his lego random blocks in this kids' corner. haha... kids are cute when they start school... they start evolving into little monsters in upper primary. Begins to learn all the devilish acts in sec school and when they reach jc, they'd probably be seasoned devils. haha.
all in all, we had such fun!
anw. side note.
i blasted my horn hard twice on the roads today.
Once on the way to raffles city, there was a massive jam near little india. When it finally cleared and as i stepped on my accl, this idiot swerved out of his lane. swerved and BLASTED loud @ him which caused him to Ebrake. Damn. u think ur honda odyssey big u can bully my little i. no way. heng u still remember to Ebrake. i dowan to lose my life cos of u idiot. LOOK before u move ur big butt man.
Next was on my way back home. Along AMK, near YCK station, it was obviously clear until this reckless taxi driver who swerve out from the minor roads. DAMN! BLASTED even louder than i did for the big butt honda, and he still s l o w l y INCH out of the minor road! HELLO UNCLE! do u noe how to drive?! can't u even have the brain to step ur accl?! are u trying to commit suicide? but surely i wouldn't want to help u in this foolish act.
OH WELL. so much so for saying LADY DRIVERS are bad drivers.
MEN should just reflect. Confidence kills.

we react the same way to horrid drivers on the road!
I just blast my horn until the fella move.
But of course I better be in the 'right'!
I agree. Bad drivers come in both sexes. On the roads so far, it evens out. Just that male drivers tend to take bigger risks, while female drivers tend to be more cautious. All end up irritating each other s'all. Keyword 'tend!'
